CLEARFIELD – Clearfield County District Attorney, William A. Shaw, Jr., announced Clearfield County’s Fugitive of the Week for the week of June 19, 2017.

Shaw identified the Fugitive as Samuel Frantz, age 22, of Deitch Road, DuBois, Pennsylvania.

Shaw stated that Frantz is wanted for failure to appear at a Preliminary Hearing held on April 21, 2017, at which time a warrant was issued for his arrest.

On April 4, 2017, Officer Lance Thompson of the DuBois City Police Department, filed a Criminal Complaint charging Frantz with: 1) Possession of a Controlled Substance, M; 2) Use/Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, M; and 3) Possession of a Small Amount of Marijuana, M.

An Affidavit of Probable Cause filed by Officer Thompson states that on April 4, 2017, Officers were on routine patrol when Officer Thompson recognized a male known to have a bench warrant. Officer Thompson then made contact with the individual identified as Frantz. At that time, Frantz was detained and searched. The subsequent search of Frantz produced controlled substances and various pieces of drug paraphernalia.

A Preliminary Hearing was held on April 21, 2017, at which Frantz failed to appear and a warrant was issued for his arrest.

Hair: Brown
