CLEARFIELD – Clearfield County District Attorney, William A. Shaw, Jr., announced Clearfield County’s Fugitive of the Week for the week of March 20, 2017.

Shaw identified the Fugitive as Mark Hartzfeld, age 33, of Luthersburg Rockton Road, Luthersburg, Pennsylvania.

Shaw stated that Hartzfeld is wanted for failure to appear at Criminal Call held on March 9, 2017, at which time a warrant was issued for his arrest.

On October 6, 2016, Trooper Danielle Marshal-Hoare of the Pennsylvania State Police, DuBois Barracks, filed a Criminal Complaint charging Hartzfeld with: 1) Access Device Fraud, F3; and 2) Theft by Unlawful Taking, M1.

An Affidavit of Probable Cause filed by Trooper Marshall-Hoare states that on August 11, 2016, Trooper Marshall-Hoare was dispatched for the report of an employee theft. Upon arrival, contact was made with a supervior who stated that an employee, idetnfied as Hartzfeld, was allowed to use the business credit card for businesses puproses only. However, upon review of financial staetments, it was discovered that there were numerous discrepencies. Subsequenlty, it was determiend that Hartzfeld had made numerous unthorized purchases with the company credit card.

A Preliminary Hearing was held on November 4, 2016, at which time all charges were held to court. On March 9, 2017, Hartzfeld failed to appear at Criminal Call and a warrant was issued for his arrest.

Hair: Brown
