CLEARFIELD – Clearfield County District Attorney, William A. Shaw, Jr., announced Clearfield County’s Fugitive of the Week for the week of February 12, 2018.

Shaw identified the Fugitive as Jessica Larson-Smith, age 21, of South Street., Rockton, Pennsylvania.

Shaw stated that Larson-Smith is wanted for failure to appear at a Preliminary Hearing held on August 25, 2017, at which time a warrant was issued for her arrest.

On July 10, 2017, Officer Casey Doherty of the DuBois City Police Department, filed a Criminal Complaint charging Larson-Smith with: 1) Possession of a Controlled Substance, M; and 2) Use/Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, M.

An Affidavit of Probable Cause filed by Officer Doherty states that on June 28, 2017, Officers responded to assist a pedestrian stop. According to the Affidavit of Probable cause, Larson-Smith was stopped by Officers after being observed acting suspiciously. While speaking with Officers, Larson-Smith continuously placed her hands inside of her pockets. At that time, Officers were able to observe loose pills inside of the pocket. Subsequently, a search was conducted which yielded prescription pills as well as a bag of methamphetamine.

A Preliminary Hearing was held on August 25, 2018, at which time Larson-Smith failed to appear and a warrant was issued for her arrest.

In a separate case, Larson-Smith is wanted for failure to appear at a Preliminary Hearing held on October 25, 2017, at which time a warrant was issued for her arrest.

On August 28, 2017, Officer Zachary Cowan, of the Lawrence Township Police Department, filed a Criminal Complaint, charging Larson-Smith with: 1) Use/Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, M; and various traffic offenses.

According to an Affidavit of Probable Cause, on August 20, 2017, Officer Cowan conducted a traffic stop due to a vehicle code violation. At that time, contact was made with the operator, identified as Larson-Smith, as well as a passenger. Through routine investigation, it was determined that the passenger had a warrant for his arrest. Further, various pieces of drug paraphernalia were observed within the vehicle, including, syringes, stamp bags, and metal spoons. At that time, Larson-Smith was transported to the Clearfield County Jail.
