CLEARFIELD – Clearfield County District Attorney, William A. Shaw, Jr., announced Clearfield County’s Fugitive of the Week for the week of November 21, 2016.

Shaw identified the Fugitive as Ethan McLachlan, age 25, of Grandview Road, Curwensville, Pennsylvania.

Shaw stated that McLachlan is wanted for failure to appear at a Preliminary Hearing held on November 16, 2016, at which time a warrant was issued for his arrest.

On October 3, 2016, Officer Daniel Podliski of the Clearfield Borough Police Department, filed a Criminal Complaint charging McLachlan with: 1) Possession with Intent to Deliver a Controlled Substance, F; 2) Criminal Use of a Communication Facility, F3; 3) Dealing in Proceeds of an Unlawful Activity, F1; 4) Possession of a Controlled Substance, M; and 5) Use/Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, M.

An Affidavit of Probable Cause filed by Officer Podliski states that on January 15, 2016, Officers responded to a local residence for the report of wanted persons to be residing there. Upon entering the residence, the Officers made contact with several individuals who had active warrants. After observing numerous pieces of drug paraphernalia as well as items consistent with the distribution of illegal substances, a search warrant was obtained which yielded additional items consistent with the use and distribution of narcotics. After conducting several interviews, it was determined that McLachlan, as well as several other individuals, were involved in the use and distribution of narcotics.

A Preliminary Hearing was held on November 16, 2016, at which time McLachlan failed to appear and warrant was issued for his arrest.
