FOW – DANA MAINES
CLEARFIELD – Clearfield County District Attorney, William A. Shaw, Jr., announced Clearfield County’s Fugitive of the Week for the week of January 23, 2017.
Shaw identified the Fugitive as Dana Maines, age 22, of Main Street, Big Run, Pennsylvania.
Shaw stated that Maines is wanted for failure to appear at Criminal Call held on January 12, 2017, at which time a warrant was issued for her arrest.
On August 4, 2016, Officer Derrick Welsh of the Sandy Township Police Department, filed a Criminal Complaint charging Maines with: 1) Access Device Fraud, M1, 2 counts; and 2) Theft by Unlawful Taking, M2, 2 counts.
An Affidavit of Probable Cause filed by Officer Welsh states that on July 3, 2016, Officer Welsh met with an individual at the Sandy Township Police departnmet in reference to a theft. The individual reported that while attending a party, she noticed that her debit card was missing from her wallet. The individual further explained that since the card went missing, she noticed two separate fraudulent ATM withdrawals had occurred. Upon further investigation, Officer Welsh was able to obtain video from a local bank in which Maines was observed making the two fraudulent withdrawals.
A Preliminary Hearing was held on September 9, 2016, at which time all charges were held to court. On January 12, 2017, Maines failed to appear at Criminal Call and a warrant was issued for her arrest.
