CLEARFIELD – Clearfield County District Attorney, William A. Shaw, Jr., announced Clearfield County’s Fugitive of the Week for the week of May 22, 2017.

Shaw identified the Fugitive as Brandon Corman, age 24, of Old Route 53, Kylertown, Pennsylvania.

Shaw stated that Corman is wanted for failure to appear at a Pretrial Conference held on May 18, 2017, at which time a warrant was issued for his arrest.

On October 18, 2016, Officer Levi Olson of the Lawrence Township Police Department, filed a Criminal Complaint charging Corman with: 1) Possession of Controlled Substance Contraband by Inmate, F2; and 2) Possession of a Controlled Substance, M.

An Affidavit of Probable Cause filed by Officer Olson states that on October 14, 2016, Officers responded to the Clearfield County Jail for the report of a weekend inmate who had attempted to smuggle a controlled substance into the jail. Upon arrival, Officer Olson made contact with jail personnel who related that Corman had concealed a controlled substance on his person in an attempt to smuggle it into the jail. Upon questioning, Corman admitted to attempting to smuggle the controlled substance into the jail.

A Preliminary Hearing was held on October 26, 2016, at which time all charges were held to court. On May 18, 2017, Corman failed to appear at a Pretrial Conference and a warrant was issued for his arrest.
