CLEARFIELD – Clearfield County District Attorney, William A. Shaw, Jr., announced Clearfield County’s Fugitive of the Week for the week of November 24, 2015.

Shaw identified the Fugitive as Benjamin Reed, age 26, of Ridge Street, Dubois, Pennsylvania.

Shaw stated that Reed is wanted for failure to appear at Criminal Call held on October 29, 2015.

On June 21, 2015, Sergeant Dustin Roy of the Dubois City Police Department, filed a Criminal Complaint charging Reed with: 1) Terroristic Threats, M1; 2) Stalking, M1; 3) Simple Assault, M2; 4) Harassment, S; and 5) Disorderly Conduct, S.

An Affidavit of Probable Cause filed by Sergeant Roy states that on June 20, 2015, Sergeant Roy, along with other Officers of the Dubois City Police Department were dispatched for a report of a man threatening a woman with a shovel. When police made contact with the victim, she appeared visibly shaken and advised that a man had initially yelled at her following a traffic incident. The victim advised that when she and her young child reached her home, she realized that Reed had followed her home so she left the area.

Upon returning home, the victim noticed that Reed again appeared at her home. This time Reed was carrying a shovel and was threatening harm to the victim and her vehicle. The victim again had to flee from the area.

A Preliminary Hearing was scheduled for June 26, 2015, at which time all charges were held to court. On October 29, 2015, Reed failed to appear at Criminal Call and a bench warrant was issued for his arrest.
