DA SHAW: CHILD ADVOCACY CENTER RECEIVES DONATION

CLEARFIELD- Clearfield County District Attorney, William A. Shaw, Jr., thanked that the Penn State DuBois Human Development and Family Studies (HDFS) Club for their donation of a play kitchen set to the Child Advocacy Center of Clearfield County (CAC-CC). 

Shaw reported that the Penn State DuBois HDFS Club President, Laura Ruane, and HDFS Instructor and Advisor, Jessica Clontz delivered the kitchen set to the CAC-CC.  The kitchen set has been placed in the waiting room of the CAC for use by child victims.   Shaw said donations like this are greatly appreciated and noted that toys of this nature help to remove anxiety from children who visit the center.

The Penn State DuBois HDFS Club is very active in supporting local organizations through donations, volunteering, and creating awareness. “The Penn State Human Development and Family Services degree is a degree that many of our Multi-Disciplinary Investigative Team (MDIT) members graduate with,” Shaw said.

Shaw expressed gratitude towards the Penn State HDFS Club for choosing to help support the CAC-CC.
