F. Cortez Bell, III
First Assistant District Attorney
F. Cortez "Chip" Bell, III, joined the District Attorney's Office in January of 2004 and serves as the First Assistant District Attorney of Clearfield County.
Chip was born and raised in Clearfield and graduated from the Gettysburg College with a Bachelors of Art Degree in Economics and Political Science. He earned a Masters of Art Degree in Economics from the American University and obtained his law degree from the Pepperdine University School of Law. Chip is admitted to practice law in both Pennsylvania and California.
Chip is a seasoned trial attorney and has previously served as a full time Assistant District Attorney from 1980-1984 and has held various positions in the Clearfield County Public Defenders Office. As the First Assistant District Attorney, Chip is responsible for daily administrative operations. Chip represents the Commonwealth at preliminary hearings and prosecutes felony and misdemeanor cases.
Trudy Lumadue
Assistant District Attorney
Trudy joined the office in January of 2010. She is Chief of the appeals unit and responds to appellate court issues including Federal Habeas Corpus Petitions and Federal appeals. Trudy also handles PCRA requests and hearings. Trudy supervises the prosecution of all juvenile offenders. She prosecutes adult misdemeanor cases and represents the Commonwealth at preliminary hearings.
Trudy obtained her Bachelor Degree and a Master of Arts Degree from the Indiana University of Pennsylvania. Her law degree was earned from California Western School of Law in San Diego, California. Cal-West is a private, ABA school, where Trudy attended on a full-scholarship. Trudy was a member of Law Review and the Appellate Court Competition Team.
Trudy is licensed to practice law in the state of California and in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. She has experience working on high profile, federal criminal cases in California. Trudy returned to Pennsylvania in 2005 and was employed at the office of Naddeo & Lewis as an associate civil litigator for three years prior to accepting the position of Assistant District Attorney.
Leanne R.Nedza
Assistant District Attorney
Leanne Nedza joined the District Attorney's Office in January 2004 as an Assistant District Attorney.
Leanne obtained her Bachelors degree from the Indiana University of Pennsylvania and her law degree from the Duquesne University School of Law.
Leanne works in the appeals unit and responds to appellate court issues including PCRA requests and Federal Habeus Corpus Petitions. Leanne represents the Commonwealth at preliminary hearings and prosecutes misdemeanor and felony cases. Leanne also supervises the prosecution of juvenile offenders.
Earle D. Lees
Assistant District Attorney
Earle Lees is an Assistant District Attorney. Earle is a graduate of Temple University and obtained his law degree from the William and Mary School of Law in 1972. During his career,
Earle worked as an Assistant Public Defender in Philadelphia and Clearfield Counties. Earle has taught legal courses at the Penn State University and has maintained a private law practice.
Earle represents the Commonwealth at preliminary hearings and is responsible for misdemeanor and felony trials.
Warren B. Mikesell, III
Assistant District Attorney
Warren is a lifelong resident of Clearfield County. Upon high school graduation, Warren enlisted in the U.S.Navy and served from 1977 through 1985. Warren graduated with honors from Grove City College in 1988 with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Business Administration and Economics. Warren earned his law degree from the Dickinson School of Law. As a law student, Warren served as a Legislative Legal Intern for the Honorable Senator Robert Jubelirer, President Pro Tempore of the Pennsylvania Senate from May 1989 to June 1991. After earning his law degree, Warren joined the law firm of Mikesell & Mikesell. Warren has served as an Assistant District Attorney under the Honorable Fredric J. Ammerman from 1992 through 1994 and again under the Honorable Paul E. Cherry from March 2003 until January 2004. Warren has further served Clearfield County as a part-time public defender.
Warren re-joined the team of prosecutors at the District Attorney's Office in November 2006. Warren is responsible for felony and misdemeanor trials. Warren conducts preliminary hearings for the Commonwealth and drafts appellate court briefs.
