CLEARFIELD – Clearfield County District Attorney, William A. Shaw, Jr., announced the capture of a wanted fugitive.

Shaw identified the Fugitive as Brandi Lynn Pace, age 27, of Viola Pike, Smithmill, Pennsylvania.

Pace was added to the Clearfield County Fugitive of the Week list on June 27, 2011.

On April 18, 2011, Trooper Terry Jordan of the Pennsylvania State Police, Clearfield Barracks, filed a Criminal Complaint charging Pace with: 1) Theft By Unlawful Taking, F3; and 2) Receiving Stolen Property, F3.

An Affidavit of Probable Cause filed by Trooper Jordan states that in March 2011, the Pennsylvania State Police began an investigation into a theft that occurred at a residence in Gulich Township. Upon investigation, it was found that Pace had unlawfully removed approximately $2,400.00 worth of jewelry from the victim's residence.

A Preliminary Hearing was scheduled for May 18, 2011, at which time all charges were held for Court. On June 8, 2011, Pace failed to appear for Arraignment Court and a warrant was issued for her arrest.

Shaw stated that on June 29, 2011, Pace voluntarily surrendered herself to Deputies from the Clearfield County Sheriff's Office, and she was taken into custody.

Shaw thanked the Clearfield County Sheriff's Office for their assistance with this case.
