CLEARFIELD – Clearfield County District Attorney, William A. Shaw, Jr., announced the capture of Clearfield County's first Fugitive of the Week.

Shaw identified the Fugitive as Larry Ray Rubly, age 37, of Brown Street, Clearfield, Pennsylvania.  Rubly was wanted for failure to appear at Criminal Call on January 28, 2010.  

Shaw reported that Rubly was taken into custody on Thursday, March 25, 2010, in Brook Park, Ohio.  Shaw stated that authorities took Rubly into custody after locating Rubly at a Best Value Inn with an un-named female.  At the time of arrest, Rubly had in his possession 347 grams of marijuana, nearly $1,000.00 in cash, as well as assorted drug paraphernalia.

Authorities in Brook Park have charged Rubly with Drug Trafficking, Possession of Drugs, and Possession of Narcotics Equipment.  Rubly is currently housed in the Brook Park City Jail.

Shaw stated that Rubly will be extradited back to Clearfield County to answer charges that were filed in July, 2009.  Those charges include: 1) Possession With the Intent to Deliver a Controlled Substance, Felony; 2) Possession of a Controlled Substance, Misdemeanor;  3) Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Misdemeanor; and 4) Disorderly Conduct, Misdemeanor.

Shaw stated that he was pleased with the successful capture of Rubly.  Shaw said that "Rubly was our first Fugitive of the Week and since we started the program we have received tons of calls and e-mails from people reporting the location of wanted persons".  Shaw said "this case reflects the importance of community involvement and demonstrates how anonymous tips from community members help law enforcement officials""
