Shaw identified the defendant as 46 year old Richard Tokarcik of Tokarcik Lane, Brockway,  Pennsylvania.

An affidavit of probable cause filed with the complaint reports three burglaries in Treasure Lake that were reported to the Sandy Township Police.  The burglaries occurred at Silverwoods Condos on April 16, 2009, and November 25, 2009, and at Cayman Landing campground on December 23, 2009.  Furniture and electronic items with a total value of $7,280.00 were stolen from Silverwoods.  A coin-operated children’s animal ride valued at $650.00 was stolen from Cayman Landing.  On December 24, 2009, Sandy Township Police executed a search warrant upon the residence of Tokarcik and recovered the furniture items that had been reported stolen.

Tokarcik was arraigned on the above listed charges on January 5, 2010.  A preliminary hearing was held on January 15, 2010, and all charges were held for trial.  Tokarcik was released on $10,000.00 unsecured bail.  Trial will occur within one year of the complaint date.

Shaw stated that “he is pleased with the fine police work of Sgt. Rodney Fairman and the Sandy Township Police department in resolving this case."  Shaw noted that "property crimes in Treasure Lake are not uncommon and it is comforting to know that the Sandy Township Police Department takes these offenses seriously to protect the citizens living there."
