Child Advocacy Center Earns Associate Membership

CLEARFIELD – Clearfield County District Attorney, William A. Shaw, Jr., announced today that the Child Advocacy Center of Clearfield County (CAC-CC) has obtained Associate Membership to the National Children’s Alliance (NCA).  

Shaw explained that “the NCA is the accrediting body for Child Advocacy Centers across the Nation, and this is a progressive step forward for the CAC-CC.” 

Shaw stated the he would like to thank all the dedicated members of the Multi-Disciplinary Investigative Team (MDIT) for their hard work and diligence to achieve this milestone.   Shaw said “this was truly a team effort by everyone involved with our CAC to earn this membership.”

Shaw said that he was grateful to CenClear for providing the building and fiscal administration of this much-needed resource for our community.  Shaw also specifically thanked Mary Tatum, the CAC-CC’s Director, for helping the CAC-CC in reaching this milestone. 

It is the CAC-CC’s objective over the next five years to achieve full NCA Accreditation, and to continue to be progressive leaders for Clearfield County regarding the investigation and prevention of child abuse, Shaw explained.
