CLEARFIELD – Clearfield County District Attorney, William A. Shaw, Jr., announced the capture of a wanted fugitive.

Shaw identified the Fugitive as Robert Mack, age 33, of Lingle Street, Osceola Mills, Pennsylvania.

Mack was added to the Clearfield County Fugitive of the Week list on July 11, 2016.

On May 27, 2015, Trooper Frederick Burns of the Pennsylvania State Police, Clearfield Barracks, filed a Criminal Complaint charging Mack with: 1) Simple Assault, M2; and 2) Harassment, S.

An Affidavit of Probable Cause filed by Trooper Burns states that on May 26, 2015, the Pennsylvania State Police, Clearfield Barracks, received a report of an assault that had occurred two days prior. Trooper Burns responded to the victim’s residence to conduct an interview. At that time, the victim related that while she and Mack were outside of her residence, Mack struck her in the arm for an unknown reason. The victim related that her arm immediately began to swell up and subsequently learned that her arm was broken.

A Preliminary Hearing was held on December 23, 2015, at which all charges were held to court. On June 14, 2016, Mack failed to appear at Motions Court and a warrant was issued for his arrest.

Shaw stated that on July 12, 2016, Troopers from the Pennsylvania State Police, Clearfield Barracks, located Mack at his residence. At that time, Mack was taken into custody without any issues. Mack was then turned over to Deputies of the Sheriff’s Office.

Shaw thanked the Pennsylvania State Police and the Clearfield County Sheriff’s Office for their assistance with this case.
