CLEARFIELD – Clearfield County District Attorney, William A. Shaw, Jr., announced the capture of a wanted fugitive.

Shaw identified the Fugitive as Dillon Dickey, age 26, of Bay Road, DuBois, Pennsylvania.

Dickey was added to the Clearfield County Fugitive of the Week list on August 22, 2016.

On July 16, 2016, Officer Scott Johnson of the Sandy Township Police Department, filed a Criminal Complaint charging Dickey with: 1) Simple Assault, M2; and 2) Harassment, S.

An Affidavit of Probable Cause filed by Officer Johnson states that on July 16, 2016, Officers from the Sandy Township Police Department were dispatched to a residence for the report of a domestic assault. Upon arrival at the scene, Officer Johnson made contact with the victim who reported that she and Dickey were involved in a verbal altercation that eventually led to Dickey striking her several times in the face. At that time, Officer Johnson observed injuries that were consistent with the victim’s account. Further, it was related to Officer Johnson that Dickey had fled the scene following the altercation.

A Preliminary Hearing was held on July 29, 2016, at which all charges were held to court. On August 10, 2016, Dickey failed to appear at Arraignment Court and a warrant was issued for his arrest.

Shaw stated that on August 24, 2016, Deputies from the Sheriff’s Office located Dickey at his residence. At that time, Dickey voluntarily surrendered to the Deputies.

Shaw thanked the Clearfield County Sheriff’s Office for their assistance with this case.
