CLEARFIELD – Clearfield County District Attorney, William A. Shaw, Jr., announced the capture of a wanted fugitive.

Shaw identified the Fugitive as Christa Quashnock, age 22, of Alexander Street, Brockway, Pennsylvania.

Quashnock was added to the Clearfield County Fugitive of the Week list on February 1, 2016.

On July 21, 2015, Officer Lance Thompson of the DuBois City Police Department, filed a Criminal Complaint charging Quashnock with: 1) Possession With Intent To Deliver a Controlled Substance, F; 2) Use/Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, M; 3) Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol, M; and related offenses.

An Affidavit of Probable Cause filed by Officer Thompson states that on May 24, 2015, Officer Thompson observed a vehicle traveling at a high rate of speed such that the operator nearly lost control of the vehicle. A traffic stop was conducted and upon making contact with the operator, identified as Quashnock, signs of impairment were detected. During field sobriety tests, Officer Thompson observed a clear plastic bag inside of Quashnock’s shirt. Upon removal of the bag, it was discovered to contain 4 separate bags of marijuana. These bags were contained inside two larger sealable plastic bags. At that time, Quashnock was transported to the DuBois Hospital for blood testing.
