CAPTURED – NATHANIAL KIMBERLING

CLEARFIELD – Clearfield County District Attorney, William A. Shaw, Jr., announced the capture of a wanted fugitive.

Shaw identified the Fugitive as Nathanial Kimberling, age 20, of Olive Avenue, DuBois, Pennsylvania.

Kimberling was added to the Clearfield County Fugitive of the Week list on October 16, 2012.

On February 27, 2012, Officer D. Scott Johnson of the Sandy Township Police Department, filed a Criminal Complaint charging Kimberling with:1) Theft By Unlawful Taking, F3; and 2) Receiving Stolen Property, F3.

An Affidavit of Probable Cause filed by Officer Johnson states that on February 15, 2012, the Sandy Township Police Department received a report of a theft of jewelry from a residence in Treasure Lake. Upon investigation it was found that Kimberling had unlawfully removed approximately $2,600.00 worth of jewelry from the victim's residence.

A Preliminary Hearing was held on March 23, 2012, at which time all charges were held to court.

CLEARFIELD – Clearfield County District Attorney, William A. Shaw, Jr., announced the capture of a wanted fugitive.

Shaw identified the Fugitive as Barry Martell, age 23, of Shirey Road, Frenchville, Pennsylvania.

Martell was added to the Clearfield County Fugitive of the Week list on September 17, 2012.

On April 20, 2012, Trooper Adam Gibson of the Pennsylvania State Police, Clearfield Barracks, filed a Criminal Complaint charging Martell with:1) Theft By Unlawful Taking or Disposition, F3; 2) Receiving Stolen Property, F3; and 3) Corruption of Minors, M1.

An Affidavit of Probable Cause filed by Trooper Gibson states that on April 5, 2012, the Pennsylvania State Police received a report of a theft from a coal site located on Knobs Road in Goshen Township. Upon investigation, it was found that Martell and two other individuals had unlawfully removed various pieces of equipment from the location valued at over $35,000.00.  

A Preliminary Hearing was held on June 27, 2012, at which time all charges were held to court. On September 6, 2012, Martell failed to appear for Criminal Call and a warrant was issued for his arrest.

DA SHAW ANNOUNCES LUTHERSBURG WOMAN CHARGED FOR TREASURE LAKE BURGLARIES

CLEARFIELD - Clearfield County District Attorney, William A. Shaw, Jr., announced today that charges have been filed against a Luthersburg woman for six treasure lake burglaries.

Shaw identified the defendant as Lindsay Sue McClure, age 35, of Luthersburg Rockton Road, Luthersburg, Pennsylvania.

On October 24, 2012, Sergeant Rodney Fairman of the Sandy Township Police Department, filed a Criminal Complaint charging McClure with: 1) Burglary, F1, 6 Counts; 2) Criminal Trespass, F2, 6 Counts; 3) Theft By Unlawful Taking or Disposition, M2, 7 Counts; and 4) Resisting Arrest, M2.

The Criminal Complaint provides that in August and September 2012, the Sandy Township Police Department received reports of several burglaries and thefts from condominiums in Silverwoods at Treasure Lake. Additionally, it was reported that a money bag had been stolen from the housekeeping headquarters owned by Crown Resorts, Wolf Run Manor, Treasure Lake. Approximately $1,500.00 worth of U.S. currency and electronics had been unlawfully removed from the various locations.

On October 15 and 22, 2012, the Sandy Township Police Department conducted undercover sting operations using video surveillance equipment in order to apprehend the actor. Officers left luggage in condominiums at Wolf Run Manor, which had been equipped with hidden video cameras. Video surveillance showed McClure unlawfully removing U.S. currency from the luggage on each occasion. Continue reading

SHAW ANNOUNCES DUBOIS MAN CHARGED WITH MOLESTING CHILD

DUBOIS - Clearfield County District Attorney, William A. Shaw, Jr., announced today that charges have been filed against a DuBois man for molesting a child.

Shaw identified the defendant as Karl Porter, age 39, of Treasure Lake, DuBois, Pennsylvania.

On October 18, 2012, Sergeant Rodney Fairman of the Sandy Township Police Department, filed a Criminal Complaint charging Porter with: 1) Aggravated Indecent Assault of a Child, F1, 12 Counts; and 2) Indecent Assault, F3, 12 Counts.

The Criminal Complaint provides that in September 2012, the Sandy Township Police Department began an investigation into the sexual assault of a female child. Upon investigation it was found that for over a year, Porter had routinely sexually molested a female who was ten years of age. The juvenile female was interviewed as part of the investigation and reported that Porter had inappropriately touched her. It was also stated by the child that Porter had held her hand and caused her to inappropriately touch his private area. All of the incidents were reported to have occurred at a residence in Sandy Township. Continue reading

CLEARFIELD – Clearfield County District Attorney, William A. Shaw, Jr., announced the capture of a wanted fugitive.

Shaw identified the Fugitive as Matthew Hays, age 32, of Philipsburg, Pennsylvania.

Hays was added to the Clearfield County Fugitive of the Week list on October 8, 2012.

On February 14, 2012, Trooper Scott Sankey of the Pennsylvania State Police, Clearfield Barracks, filed a Criminal Complaint charging Hays with:1) Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol, M; and 2) Careless Driving, S.

An Affidavit of Probable Cause filed by Trooper Sankey states that on January 9, 2012, while on routine patrol, troopers were dispatched to the scene of an accident on State Route 322 in Pine Township. Upon making contact with the driver of the vehicle at the Clearfield Hospital, Sankey detected signs of  impairment, and blood testing was conducted.

A Preliminary Hearing was held on March 23, 2012, at which time all charges were held to court. On September 6, 2012, Hays failed to appear for Criminal Call and a warrant was issued for his arrest.

SHAW ANNOUNCES DRUG ARREST IN MORRIS TOWNSHIP

CLEARFIELD - Clearfield County District Attorney, William A. Shaw, Jr., announced today that charges have been filed against a Clearfield County man.

Shaw identified the defendant as Christopher Patrick, age 28, of Turtle Road, Allport, Pennsylvania.

On October 11, 2012, Trooper Craig Needham of the Pennsylvania State Police, Punxsutawney Barracks, filed a Criminal Complaint charging Edwards with: 1) Possession With the Intent to Manufacture or Deliver a Controlled Substance, F, 2 Counts; 2) Possession of a Controlled Substance, M; and 3) Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, M.

The Criminal Complaint provides that on October 11, 2012, Troopers conducted a search on Patrick's residence and property. As a result of the search, approximately 20 pounds of processed marijuana, 12 live marijuana plants, and multiple pieces of drug paraphernalia were located. CAPTURED

CLEARFIELD – Clearfield County District Attorney, William A. Shaw, Jr., announced Clearfield County's Fugitive of the Week for the week of October 15, 2012.

Shaw identified the Fugitive as Nathanial Kimberling, age 20, of Olive Avenue, DuBois, Pennsylvania.

Shaw stated that Kimberling is wanted in two separate cases for failure to appear at Plea and Sentencing Court on October 9, 2012.

On February 27, 2012, Officer D. Scott Johnson of the Sandy Township Police Department, filed a Criminal Complaint charging Kimberling with:1) Theft By Unlawful Taking, F3; and 2) Receiving Stolen Property, F3.
