CAPTURED – CHRISTOPHER CLARK

CLEARFIELD – Clearfield County District Attorney, William A. Shaw, Jr., announced the capture of a wanted fugitive.

Shaw identified the Fugitive as Christopher Clark, age 30, of Spring Street, Clearfield, Pennsylvania.

Clark was added to the Clearfield County Fugitive of the Week list on August 27, 2012.

On June 5, 2012, Trooper Michael Berta of the Pennsylvania State Police, Clearfield Barracks, filed a Criminal Complaint charging Clark with: 1) Aggravated Assault, F2; 2) Criminal Mischief, F3; 3) Terroristic Threats, M1, 5 Counts; 4) Simple Assault, M2; 5) Recklessly Endangering Another Person, M2, 5 Counts; 6) Disorderly Conduct, M3, 5 Counts; and 7) Harassment, S, 5 Counts.

An Affidavit of Probable Cause filed by Trooper Berta states that in May 2012, the Pennsylvania State Police began an investigation into an assault that occurred on Alder Street in Gulich Township. Upon investigation it was found that Clark had punched the victim in the face and had struck the victim with a baseball bat. It was also found that Clark had damaged the victim's vehicle by striking it with a baseball bat several times.

DA SHAW ANNOUNCES CLEARFIELD DRUG DEALER SENTENCED TO STATE PRISON

CLEARFIELD - Clearfield County District Attorney, William A. Shaw, Jr., announced today that a Clearfield drug dealer has been sentenced to state prison.

Shaw identified the defendant as Duncan Solada, age 37, of E. Walnut Street, Clearfield, Pennsylvania. Currently, Solada is housed in the Clearfield County Jail pending transfer to the State Prison System.

Shaw stated that seven separate Criminal Complaints were filed by the Pennsylvania State Police, DuBois City Police Department, and Clearfield County Sheriff's Department charging Solada with: 1) Manufacture, Delivery or Possession With Intent to Manufacture or Deliver a Controlled Substance, F, 6 Counts; 2)  Criminal Use of  Communication Facility, F3, 4 Counts; 3) Knowingly or Intentionally Possessing a Controlled or Counterfeit Substance, M, 6 Counts; and 4) Default in Required Appearance, M2.

The Criminal Complaints provide that from September 2010 to May 2011, the Clearfield County Drug Task Force and the Pennsylvania State Police began an investigation into the sale of controlled substances in Clearfield County. Upon investigation, Solada was identified as a possible seller of narcotics within the county. Officers were able to setup six controlled purchases of over 17 grams of cocaine where Solada sold cocain to either a confidential informant or undercover police officer. During each sale, the confidential informant or Officer provided Solada with prerecorded U.S. Currency in exchange for cocaine. Continue reading

FUGITIVE OF THE WEEK – August 27, 2012

Christopher Clark CAPTURED

CLEARFIELD – Clearfield County District Attorney, William A. Shaw, Jr., announced Clearfield County's Fugitive of the Week for the week of August 27, 2012.

Shaw identified the Fugitive as Christopher Clark, age 30, of Spring Street, Clearfield, Pennsylvania.

Shaw stated that Clark is wanted for failure to appear at Arraignment Court on August 3, 2012.

On June 5, 2012, Trooper Michael Berta of the Pennsylvania State Police, Clearfield Barracks, filed a Criminal Complaint charging Clark with: 1) Aggravated Assault, F2; 2) Criminal Mischief, F3; 3) Terroristic Threats, M1, 5 Counts; 4) Simple Assault, M2; 5) Recklessly Endangering Another Person, M2, 5 Counts; 6) Disorderly Conduct, M3, 5 Counts; and 7) Harassment, S, 5 Counts.

CLEARFIELD – Clearfield County District Attorney, William A. Shaw, Jr., announced the capture of a wanted fugitive.

Shaw identified the Fugitive as Michael Webster, age 31, of Hemlock Street, Philipsburg, Pennsylvania.

Webster was added to the Clearfield County Fugitive of the Week list on August 13, 2012.

On January 1, 2012, Patrolman John Brown of the Clearfield Borough Police Department, filed a Criminal Complaint charging Webster with: 1) Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol, M; and 2) Driving While Operating Privilege Is Suspended or Revoked, S.

An Affidavit of Probable Cause filed by Patrolman Brown states that on December 31, 2011, after receiving a report of an individual pounding on the window of a vehicle parked at the Clearfield Hospital, Officers stopped the vehicle traveling on Hannah Street. Upon making contact with the driver of the vehicle, Brown detected signs of  impairment and Webster was taken into custody and transported to the Clearfield Hospital for blood testing.

FUGITIVE OF THE WEEK – August 6, 2012

CLEARFIELD – Clearfield County District Attorney, William A. Shaw, Jr., announced Clearfield County's Fugitive of the Week for the week of August 6, 2012.

Shaw identified the Fugitive as Edward Houston, age 28, of East Walnut Street, Clearfield, Pennsylvania.

Shaw stated that Houston is wanted for failure to appear at Pretrial Conferences on July 19, 2012.

On December 20, 2011, Trooper Kimberly Ronan of the Pennsylvania State Police, Clearfield Barracks, filed a Criminal Complaint charging Houston with:1) Forgery, F3, 8 Counts; and 2) Access Device Fraud, M1, 2 Counts.

An Affidavit of Probable Cause filed by Trooper Ronan states that in October 2011, the Pennsylvania State Police began an investigation into the identity theft of an elderly woman. Upon investigation it was found that a credit card had been unlawfully opened in the victim's name, and Houston used the credit card and forged the name of the victim on eight separate occasions.

CAPTURED – HEATHER ELLINGER

CLEARFIELD – Clearfield County District Attorney, William A. Shaw, Jr., announced the capture of a wanted fugitive.

Shaw identified the Fugitive as Heather Ann Ellinger, age 33, of Reynoldsville, Pennsylvania.

Ellinger was added to the Clearfield County Fugitive of the Week list on July 30, 2012.

On December 27, 2011, Trooper Steven Johnson of the Pennsylvania State Police, Punxsutawney Barracks, filed a Criminal Complaint charging Ellinger with:1) Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol, M1; 2) Careless Driving, S; 3) Driving on Roadways Laned For Traffic, S; 4) Restriction on Alcoholic Beverages, S; and 5) Restraint Systems, S.

An Affidavit of Probable Cause filed by Trooper Johnson states that on December 4, 2011, while on routine patrol, Troopers observed a vehicle driving erratically on State Route 119. Upon making contact with the driver of the vehicle, Johnson detected signs of  impairment and requested that Ellinger perform field sobriety tests.  After administering the field sobriety tests, Ellinger was transported to the DuBois Regional Medical Center for blood testing.
