FUGITIVE OF THE WEEK – June 19, 2012

CAPTURED

CLEARFIELD – Clearfield County District Attorney, William A. Shaw, Jr., announced Clearfield County's Fugitive of the Week for the week of June 18, 2012.

Shaw identified the Fugitive as Charles Lese, age 52, of Park Avenue, Clearfield, Pennsylvania.

Shaw stated that Lese is wanted for failure to appear at Criminal Call on May 17, 2012.

On November 3, 2011, Trooper Justin Jones of the Pennsylvania State Police, Clearfield Barracks, filed a Criminal Complaint charging Lese with: 1) Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol, M; 2) Drivers Required to be Licensed, S; 3) Careless Driving, S; and 4) Restraint Systems, S.

An Affidavit of Probable Cause filed by Trooper Jones states that on October 15, 2011, while on routine patrol, troopers observed a vehicle abruptly drive off the roadway and stop under the overpass on State Route 153. Upon making contact with the driver of the vehicle, Jones detected signs of  impairment and requested that Lese perform field sobriety tests.  After administering the field sobriety tests, Lese was taken into custody and transported to the Clearfield Hospital for blood testing.

CAPTURED – WILLIE RAY HOCKENBERRY

CLEARFIELD – Clearfield County District Attorney, William A. Shaw, Jr., announced the capture of a wanted fugitive.

Shaw identified the Fugitive as Willie Ray Hockenberry, age 23, of Grassflat, Pennsylvania.

Hockenberry was added to the Clearfield County Fugitive of the Week list on April 23, 2012.

On January 3, 2012, Trooper Terry Jordan of the Pennsylvania State Police, Clearfield Barracks, filed a Criminal Complaint charging Hockenberry with: 1) Receiving Stolen Property, M1, 3 Counts; and 2) Theft From a Motor Vehicle, M1, 3 Counts.

An Affidavit of Probable Cause filed by Trooper Jordan states that in May 2011, the Pennsylvania State Police began an investigation into three separate incidents of theft from motor vehicles in Cooper Township. Several items including credit cards, U.S. currency, and a lap top had been stolen from the vehicles. Upon investigation it was found that Hockenberry had unlawfully entered the vehicles and removed the missing items.

FUGITIVE OF THE WEEK – June 13, 2012

CLEARFIELD – Clearfield County District Attorney, William A. Shaw, Jr., announced Clearfield County's Fugitive of the Week for the week of June 11, 2012.

Shaw identified the Fugitive as Scott Joseph, age 41, of Mahaffey, Pennsylvania.

Shaw stated that Joseph is wanted for failure to appear at Criminal Call on May 17, 2012.

On October 3, 2011, Trooper David Kostok of the Pennsylvania State Police, Punxsutawney Barracks, filed a Criminal Complaint charging Joseph with: 1) Theft By Unlawful Taking, F3; 2) Access Device Fraud, F3; 3) Unauthorized Use of Automobiles and Other Vehicles, M2; and 4) Theft From a Motor Vehicle, M3.

An Affidavit of Probable Cause filed by Trooper Kostok states that in October 2011, the Pennsylvania State Police began an investigation into the theft of a motor vehicle from a residence located in New Washington Borough. Upon investigation it was found that Joseph was the caretaker for the victim, and had taken the victim's motor vehicle. It was also found that Joseph had used the victim's bank card, which had been located in the vehicle, and made unlawful charges totaling $1,399.50. Continue reading
