CAPTURED- CODY RINEHART

CLEARFIELD – Clearfield County District Attorney, William A. Shaw, Jr., announced the capture of a wanted fugitive.


Shaw identified the Fugitive as Cody Rinehart, age 20, of Surveyor Road, Clearfield, Pennsylvania.

Rinehart was added to the Clearfield County Fugitive of the Week list on May 23, 2011.

On October 4, 2010, Trooper William Mostyn of the Pennsylvania State Police, Clearfield Barracks, filed a Criminal Complaint charging Rinehart with: 1) Theft By Unlawful Taking, F3; and 2) Receiving Stolen Property, F3.

An Affidavit of Probable Cause filed by Trooper Mostyn states that in July 2010, the Pennsylvania State Police began an investigation into the theft of an ATV. Upon investigation, it was found that Rinehart had unlawfully removed an ATV from the victim's property. The ATV was later recovered but had sustained damage. Continue reading

FUGITIVE OF THE WEEK – June 27, 2011

CAPTURED

CLEARFIELD – Clearfield County District Attorney, William A. Shaw, Jr., announced Clearfield County's Fugitive of the Week for the week of June 27, 2011.

Shaw identified the Fugitive as Brandi Lynn Pace, age 27, of Viola Pike, Smithmill, Pennsylvania.

Shaw stated that Pace is wanted for failure to appear at Arraignment Court held on June 8, 2011.

On April 18, 2011, Trooper Terry Jordan of the Pennsylvania State Police, Clearfield Barracks, filed a Criminal Complaint charging Pace with: 1) Theft By Unlawful Taking, F3; and 2) Receiving Stolen Property, F3.

An Affidavit of Probable Cause filed by Trooper Jordan states that in March 2011, the Pennsylvania State Police began an investigation into a theft that occurred at a residence in Gulich Township. Upon investigation, it was found that Pace had unlawfully removed approximately $2,400.00 worth of jewelry from the victim's residence.

CAPTURED – CRUZ CARPIN

CLEARFIELD – Clearfield County District Attorney, William A. Shaw, Jr., announced the capture of a wanted fugitive.

Shaw identified the Fugitive as Cruz Carpin, age 21, of South Michael Street, St. Marys, Pennsylvania.

Carpin was added to the Clearfield County Fugitive of the Week list on May 31, 2011.

On November 8, 2010, Officer Josh Johnston of the Sandy Township Police Department, filed a Criminal Complaint charging Carpin with: 1) Theft By Deception, M, 7 Counts; and 2) Bad Checks, S, 7 Counts.

An Affidavit of Probable Cause filed by Officer Johnston states that in October 2010, the Sandy Township Police received a report of theft and bad checks from a Sandy Township business. Upon investigation it was found that on seven occasions Carpin had issued checks in order to obtain merchandise and services, however the checks were for a closed bank account.

FUGITIVE OF THE WEEK – June 20, 2011

CAPTURED

CLEARFIELD – Clearfield County District Attorney, William A. Shaw, Jr., announced Clearfield County's Fugitive of the Week for the week of June 20, 2011.

Shaw identified the Fugitive as Jeremiah Wisor, age 21, of Park Avenue, Clearfield, Pennsylvania.

Shaw stated that Wisor is wanted for failure to appear at Plea and Sentencing Court held on May 10, 2011.

On February 8, 2011, Trooper Kimberly Ronan of the Pennsylvania State Police, Clearfield Barracks, filed a Criminal Complaint charging Wisor with Theft By Unlawful Taking, F3.

An Affidavit of Probable Cause filed by Trooper Ronan states that in July 2010, the Pennsylvania State Police began an investigation into a theft that occurred at a residence in West Decatur. Upon investigation, it was found that Wisor had unlawfully removed approximately $3,000.00 from the victim's residence.

DA SHAW AND MCGRUFF THE CRIME DOG ATTEND COMMUNITY DAYS

DUBOIS- On Friday, June 10 and Saturday June 11, 2011, Clearfield County District Attorney, William A. Shaw, Jr., and McGruff the Crime Dog participated in DuBois City's annual Community Days Celebration. The event was held at Memorial Park in DuBois.

The District Attorney's  booth at the annual event focused on instructing area children about Safety and Crime Prevention. Shaw utilized McGruff the Crime Dog to promote the topic, and provided various puzzles and games to children to teach them about preventing crime and to be more aware of safety issues.  Shaw and McGruff also taught area youth the dangers of drug usage and encouraged all children to "Say No To Drugs".

Shaw stated that the District Attorney's booth also provided literature and advice for internet safety, as well as information for parents and children to learn how to deal with bullying.  Shaw reported that we also provide information on identity theft and advice for protecting against having your identity stolen.

FUGITIVE OF THE WEEK – June 13, 2011

CAPTURED

CLEARFIELD – Clearfield County District Attorney, William A. Shaw, Jr., announced Clearfield County's Fugitive of the Week for the week of June 13, 2011.

Shaw identified the Fugitive as Kimberly Rihel, age 34, of Clearfield, Pennsylvania.

Shaw stated that Rihel is wanted for failure to appear at Pre-Trial Conferences on June 9, 2011.

On November 17, 2010, Officer J. Michael Morris of the Lawrence Township Police Department, filed a Criminal Complaint charging Rihel with: 1) Criminal Conspiracy, F2, 2 Counts; 2) Possession of Controlled Substance Contraband By Inmate Prohibited, F2; 3) Possession of a Controlled Substance, M, 2 Counts.

An Affidavit of Probable Cause filed by Officer Morris states that in August 2010, Officers received a report that an inmate at the Clearfield County Jail was in possession of controlled substances. Upon investigation it was found that Rihel had conspired to have controlled substances sent to her while incarcerated in the jail, and that controlled substances had been sent to Rihel. Officers recovered the controlled substances from Rihel.

FUGITIVE OF THE WEEK – June 6, 2011

CAPTURED

CLEARFIELD – Clearfield County District Attorney, William A. Shaw, Jr., announced Clearfield County's Fugitive of the Week for the week of June 6, 2011.

Shaw identified the Fugitive as John Rokoski, age 47, of New Castle, Pennsylvania.

Shaw stated that Rokoski is wanted in two separate cases for failure to appear at Criminal Call on May 12, 2011.

On March 15, 2010, Officer Steve Maholtz of the DuBois City Police Department, filed a Criminal Complaint charging Rokoski with: 1) Driving Under the Influence, M; 2) Fleeing or Attempting to Elude Police Officer, F; 3) Stop Signs and Yield Signs, S; 4) Driving Vehicle At Safe Speed; 5) Driving on Right Side of Roadway; 6) Obedience to Traffic-Control Devices, S; 7) Drivers Required to Be Licensed, S; and 8) Driving While Operating Privilege is Suspended or Revoked, S.
