LANAGIN ARRAIGNED ON CHARGES OF ATTEMPTED HOMICIDE

DUBOIS – Clearfield County District Attorney, William A. Shaw, Jr. announces that Michael Edward Lanigan of 1724 Treasure Lake, Sandy Township, Pennsylvania has been arraigned on Charges including Criminal Attempt to Commit Homicide.

A criminal complaint filed on March 16, 2009 by Officer Erik Rupp of the Sandy Township Police Department charged Lanigan with two counts each of: 1) Criminal Attempt to Commit Homicide; 2) Aggravated Assault; 3) Simple Assault; and 4) Recklessly Endangering Another Person.

An Affidavit of Probably Cause filed with the complaint stated that at approximately 9:12 pm on March 15, 2009, Sandy Township Police Officers were dispatched to a domestic assault in progress at 1724 Treasure Lake, Sandy Township. Officers were advised that Lanigan had assaulted his mother and her husband by stabbing both victims with a knife.

WARRANT ISSUED FOR TREASURE LAKE RESIDENT

DUBOIS – Clearfield County District Attorney, William A. Shaw, Jr. announces that an arrest warrant has been issued for a Treasure Lake resident accused of Criminal Attempt Homicide.

Shaw identified the Defendant as Michael Edward Lanigan of 1724 Treasure Lake, Sandy Township, Pennsylvania. The Defendant is 50 years old.

A criminal complaint filed by Officer Erik Rupp of the Sandy Township Police Department charges Lanigan with two counts each of: 1) Criminal Attempt to Commit Homicide; 2) Aggravated Assault; 3) Simple Assault; and 4) Recklessly Endangering Another Person.

DECATUR TOWNSHIP RESIDENT CHARGED

CLEARFIELD – Clearfield County District Attorney, William A. Shaw, Jr., announces that four criminal complaints have been filed against a Decatur Township resident for selling controlled substances.

Shaw identified the Defendant as Leonard Roy Croyle, Jr., of Copelin Road, Philipsburg, Decatur Township, Clearfield County, Pennsylvania.

The criminal complaints charged Croyle with four counts each of Delivery of a Controlled Substance, Possession With Intent to Deliver a Controlled Substance, and Possession of a Controlled Substance. According to the Criminal Complaints, the acts occurred between February 12, 2009 and March 4, 2009.
